Pianist/fortepianist Emil Duncumb has performed in
numerous concerts and festivals across Europe, both as a soloist and chamber musician. Highlights include appearances at the Northern Lights Festival, Olavsfestdagene and International Arts Festival Gozo, and at major venues such as the Oslo Konserthus, Gamle Logen (Oslo), Presidential Symphony Hall (Ankara), and London’s King’s Place and Wigmore Hall with outstanding reviews.
A keen chamber musician, Emil has performed with the Engegård and Ajax string quartets, Luke Witchger (Concertmaster for Orchestra Iowa), regular collaborations with violinists Nihat Agdac in Turkey and Cyprus, and Eleanor Corr in the UK, Italy, Sweden and Norway, and has played extensively with his brother, guitarist Jadran Duncumb, since they won the duo category of the Norwegian Competition for Youth. Emil also won 2 prizes in the solo category, and has since won the Senior Division of the Sparre Olsen Competition, along with an honorary award.
